Open Campaigns
Design campaigns so they can benefit from outside ideas.
as you consider possible Levels of Work for your campaign, remember that the campaign itself is a solution that could be improved by people outside the organization.
Collaboration requires transparency, but too often, and for many different reasons, we keep our work secret.

Build our campaigns as open artifacts projects, even if our intention is just to share resources internally. As an added bonus, we may be able to get others involved in the campaign as well as the Solution the campaign is promoting. It’s also a way to maximize the efforts made by staff around the world, allowing work to be shared to everyone’s advantage.
-
Making the campaign an open project adds the campaign itself to the list of work that needs doing, at least if a user sees an issue or a missed opportunity with the campaign. So a person can contribute to the subject of the campaign and the campaign itself.

A campaign can be made open in a number ways, ranging from simple to complex. The key is really that potential collaborators have access to resources and have a way to contribute back to the project.
Therefore:
Build solutions campaigns as open artifacts projects so they can 1) be used across the movement as the basis for other campaigns and 2) outside collaborators can help improve the campaign. Make sure people are aware they can contribute to the campaign itself by including instructions and calls to action as part of the campaign.
Open projects require a common set of tools that everyone can get access to; often that means using open source tools across the organization
