to meaningfully communicate through Dialogue, we need the Courage to open ourselves to the other people, lowering the masks that we normally wear, and letting both them and ourselves create a deeper connection.

When we’re around others, society and our own personal pride encourage us to present an air of certainty and superiority, but that just gets in the way of listening and learning.

  • Humility is an attitude. It’s a combination of curiosity, a humble sense that you don’t have all the answers—Uncertain Knowing, and a sense of valuing and respecting the perspective of the person you’re talking to.
