Discernment

Perceive reality more clearly by integrating the complex of feelings within you.

our ability to perceive the world is severely limited by our senses, but we have more tools of perception that we may know.

We perceive the world around us through our five senses, but our minds also react to what we sense and we can feel that in our body. As a result, there is a kind of learned sense of reality, a whole new source of perception, that most of us are not very aware of.

  • One of our five senses is the sense of touch or feeling. We think of that as being our ability to sense pressure, temperature, and texture on the surface of our skin, but it is much more complex than that. We are able to feel how our body responds to the world. That sets up a feedback loop where we can learn to “feel” considerably more that we are aware of.

“…Refining and developing discernment is very much that capacity to be more and more aware and sensitive to the complex of feelings that are rising, then being able to actually use them moment to moment in making the choices that you make.” — Jordan Hall

Therefore:

Develop your capacity to clearly perceive reality in the moment by being more and more aware and sensitive to the complex of feelings within you that paint a self-correcting understanding of what is really happening with precision and subtlety.

Expand your perception by entering a state of Mindfulness and actively integrating information from the five senses, Intuition, your emotions, and other Felt Senses
