Infinite Lifestyle
Shift all areas of your life away from finite games toward the infinite game.

to follow the [[ Infinite Path ]] we have to be willing to change the rules. That kind of change can be highly disruptive, so consider what you can do now to ease the transition.
Change is coming quickly. If you’re doing well in the current system and have a lot invested in it, you may find the transition to be jarring.
-
The current world is based on finite games that are rivalrous in nature, so there are winners and losers. Even knowing that model is unsustainable, it’s not clear how we move from those kinds of games, which provide much of our life support, to the infinite game.
-
For most of us, our job, finite game or not, is not something we can opt out of. We need it to generate income so we can pay our mortgage or rent, buy food, and all the rest. Even if we wanted to leave that finite game, we don’t feel that we could because it would threaten our survival and the survival of our family.
-
As the finite systems get more unstable, there will likely be opportunities for some of us to make the switch, though it’s difficult to predict what that might look like. I’m just suggesting that we try to prepare our lives a bit toward that happening to help with the transition.
-
While I’m not really talking about survivalism or prepping here, I suppose there’s an aspect of that. There may be some difficult transition times and having some extra supplies around might be a good idea.
-
Finite games can be played within the infinite game. For many, that might look like building an infinite path business on the side while they work their existing job. For others, it might mean working toward an early retirement, which is really just saying reaching the point where they are independently wealthy. To achieve that, some might strive to reduce their expenses to the smallest amount possible.
-
Some ways to reduce costs in the long-term are to invest in abundance technologies like solar power or geothermal heating and cooling. Get an electric vehicle, or find ways to live without a vehicle, or shared vehicles with a group. A lot if this has to do with embracing the new ideas coming through, and thinking in the larger-term. Something that costs more up front may save you money in the long term, so consider that aspect of things.
-
Jim Rutt has pointed out that debt on a house or credit card might make the transition to the infinite game more difficult, but we don’t know. There’s a long history of forgiving debt during these kinds of transitions.
