Imagination is boundless
Human imagination is boundless. The fiction shelves of bookstores and libraries are filled with imagined worlds, people and events. Imagination is at the heart of our creativity and therefore our ability to create. We’ve reformed the planet in many ways by imagining what could exist and translating that imagined vision into reality.
But translating our imaginings into reality is no simple thing. Reality is much more bounded than imagination, even if the boundaries are human-made. It may well be possible, some day, to imagine dragons and then make them real in the world, but our capabilities have not caught up with our imaginations enough that we can do that today.
